El berro, en latín “Nasturtium officinale”, también conocido como balsamita mayor y antiguamente como “lechugas de burros”, es una planta perenne común en arroyos, torrentes de aguas claras, pantanos, etc., siendo los cultivados en huerta los que presentan la hoja de mayor tamaño.
